When the temperature starts to drop and your home begins to feel chilly, the first article of Playboy Clothing you tend to reach for is a hoodie. No matter who you are, where you come from, or how old you are, sometimes nothing is as comforting as a nice hoodie. Of course, you may wonder yourself “are hoodies in fashion?” Well, this is basically a double-sided question. In some instances, it is, while at other times it is not acceptable and should not be worn. It is important to know the difference between the two, and even though it is everyone’s favorite cold-weather accessory, and most individuals do have one, you need to know when a hoodie is fashionable and when it isn’t.
Right off the bat, anything goes in your own apartment. You can wear whatever, whenever you want, and this goes with a hoodie. It helps keep you warm, without raising the entire temperature of the apartment. Of course, you do need to make sure the hoodie properly fits you when out and about. You don’t want the hoodie excessively large on you, because this makes you look like you are 50 pounds heavier than you really are (nobody wants that) and it makes it appear like you are concealing something. Of course, on the opposite side of the spectrum, you don’t want a hoodie that is too tight, as if you’ve been wearing the same hoodie since grade school. A hoodie needs to allow movement, but still, come down to the waste line.
Hoodie is fashionable
A hoodie is fashionable (at least acceptable) when running general errands or doing work around the house. It is also acceptable when working out, going for walks, or doing anything outside where you don’t have to entertain other individuals.
On the other hand, you don’t want to wear a hoodie in most social situations where you are entertaining or meeting with people. It is ill-advised to wear a hoodie out to dinner, especially at a fine restaurant. It is fine for at the ball game, but not when eating a five-course meal with relatives. No matter how nice or who designed the hoodie, you are going to look cheap and like a slob. Keep the hoodie to friendly, casual encounters and use other jackets and other options for other social situations. You don’t want to look like you just came from the gym, every time you make an appearance for a different function or get-together. But once you step back into your apartment, but all means, toss that old hoodie back on and curl up on the couch.
Hoodies Can Be Stylish, Too
Hoodies have a reputation for being comfortable clothing and for good reason. There is nothing finer than coming home after a long day of work and pulling out your favorite hoodie for some relaxation time. They’re warm and soft, and they tend to hide some physical imperfections. What’s not to love about the hoodie?
Though they do have the stigma of being slouchy clothing, the hoodie is actually experiencing a surge in popularity. With some tweaks here and there in design, hooded sweatshirts, sweaters, and T-shirts are becoming quite stylish. With some tucks around the waist, women’s hoodies can flatter a figure. Men may find that fleece-lined zip-up hoodies work just as well as a jacket or coat, which cuts down on the amount of clothing that must be purchased. These are just a few of the bonuses that hooded sweatshirts can offer.
When you move beyond the basic comfort aspect of the hoodie, you can begin to see just how versatile this article of clothing really is. A cable knit sweater with a hood would never be considered slouchy, and yet it fits right into the hoodie model. What about a thin, knit top with a hood? Paired with skinny jeans and a cute pair of flats, you’ve got comfortable clothing that will turn heads as you walk. Stripes and other designs can completely change the look of the hoodie, which will allow you to really express your style.
